As we enter in new millennium, I can see the tremendous progress in my country. This is due to noticeable change towards high technology, which my country has adopted and developed. As result there is continuous and sophisticated industrialization and the basic of all engineering i.e. mechanical has been soft wired. The significant headway in product development during the last two decades has been no small measure due to use of computer design and manufacture. Impact of this technology in Automobile, Aerospace, Marine, Metallurgy and Power Plants has been phenomenal.
My inclination towards science began from childhood. I excelled in my school career. My candid and industrious efforts enabled me to get admission in Mechanical Engineering. My favorite subjects were Operation Research, Advanced Tools, Machine Design, Automatic Controls, Heat and Mass Transfer and Computer Programming.
To pursue my thirst for implication of theoretical knowledge in practical mode, I joined the “Indian Petrochemical Corporation Ltd”. , Government of India undertaking. It is ranked in Government of India’s Top 9 successful projects. Here I got opportunity to work in its 3rd upcoming mega complex worth of Indian Rupees, 6,000 Crore (Approximately USD 1.2 billion).
Here I worked right from scratch of the project and exposed to it all stages i.e. Planning, Scheduling, Budgeting, Mechanical Erection, Mechanical Commissioning and Process Commissioning. During last 5 years of my project experience, I have come in contact with latest technical developments and skilled personalities from all over the world. The more practical training I have under gone, the more I want to learn. This inspires me to go for higher studies and forms the basis of my desire to pursue my M.S. in USA. I believe that by studying in a technologically advanced country like yours, I will be able to further enhance my knowledge with the opportunity of getting exposure to the latest developments taking place.
Your university with its strong foundation, excellent infrastructure, adequate facilities of labs and libraries and state of the art of computer facilities will enable me to enhance my skills.
