I am S. Manoj Chakravarthy an undergraduate in B.B.M (Bachelor in Business Management). I basically come from a family of reputed businessmen and I wish to handle my father’s business as soon as I complete my graduation (M.B.A).
I am one of the partners in my father’s business and expect to take over on my return. At present it is run more as a family concern and professionalism is not a major strength of the business. It is my desire to bring in professionalism and latest management techniques, so that we can survive and expand in the coming years. This becomes especially more important since India is going fast a head with lot of structural reforms in the business area and if we do not professionalism, we probably will fold up.
Another objective is to go ahead with diversification of the business and not strick to the present one-activity (typre selling) business so as to spread the business.
I believe an international M.B.A. will greatly help me in developing skills required to meet these objective. Also with Indian business becoming more and more global, having an international outlook and exposure becomes quite critical. It is for these reasons that I have chose to do an M.B.A. in your esteemed university.
